"Blue Bouquet" Vintage Tapestry, Ticking, French Stripe, and Velvet Cushion

With its vintage cotton tapestry, ticking, multiple versions of French stripe, and a rich deep blue velvet back, this cushion is a perfect mix of touch and pretty. Smaller than a standard NZ/Austalian pillow size, its just enough for your favorite armchair, or a childs bed.

As with all our Old Made products, this cushion cover has been lovingly hand made from ethically sourced vintage, second hand, scrap, and collected fabrics. Each one is as unique as its owner.

The Old Made collection of tapestries in both 100% cotton or wool started as a hobby and has grown into almost an obsession. Each tapestry (or embroidery), was hand stitched by an unknown crafter who spent hours laboring with needle and thread. Despite falling out of favor for many years, the colors, and sometimes kitsch subject matter deserve a second look. Or maybe a third or forth one!

The thought of these works of domestic art being discarded was too much for us at Old Made, so we hope you will love giving a new life to these objects as much as we enjoy making them.
